Day 6 | Musée de l'Amerique francophone (History)
I woke up. I looked to my left, no one was there. I looked to my right, no one was there as well. I then stared at the clock and realized that I woke up late. I jumped out of bed and quickly changed to get ready for the new day. As soon as I got my backpack on, I ran as fast as I could to get to the main lobby. Everybody was there, glaring at me. Vik, James, Corey, and Eddie all complained about us getting late because I can't wake up early enough. After that, we all went to visit a museum called Musée de l'Amérique francophone. On the way there, I was eating my granola bar since I missed breakfast.
We all got to the museum and examined the building. It didn't look like how any of us thought it would. After our long stare at it, we finally got inside and began to learn the history of great Quebec. James just stayed on his phone playing games. Vik gave him an angry stare. James didn't notice and continued his games. Vik then yelled so loud, the entire city could hear him. He told James that if he didn't put his phone away, he would slap it right out of his hand and stomp on it.
"Uhh, no you're not, Vik. This thing cost, like $850. You're going to buy me another?" said James. Corey, Eddie, and I was so embarrassed that we walked away and split up.
I looked all around me and saw everything I wanted to visit. I learned so much about the history of Quebec that I was amazed by how much I have learned about the city. Who knew that Jacques Cartier, a French explorer, landed here in 1535. Also, it wasn’t until 1608 when Samuel de Champlain arrived that a permanent wooden fort and fur trading post was set up.
I took pictures of everything that I found interesting. After looking at all the great statues, I met with Vik and the others at a room where there was a statue, a few enormous rocks, and minerals. We all went to see the room filled with art. Every painting was beautiful and fascinating. James thought that it was all boring. He wanted to stay on his phone all day but was scared that Vik would actually break his phone.
"I wish I was this artistic," I stated as I stared closely to every detail in every painting. Everyone stared at me with a weird look, so I decided to not say a word for the rest of the day. We then left the museum after eating lunch and spent the rest of our day resting in our hotel rooms. We went to McDonald's for dinner. Vik wanted that happy meal he got Justice League Flash toy. We all laughed at him, but he then traded it in for an ice-cream.
